\Commercial Work
From wineries to clinics, restaurants to manufacturing facilities, I have had the joy of working with a wide variety of clients to bring their business's brands to life. Below are projects that I found to best speak to my design style
01 Unlikely Pair
Ideation
With a dream of bringing the moody warmth of a London pub to the interior of a historic rock home in Fredericksburg, this client spoke of an eclectic and bold space. A delicate balance of English tradition and southern influence was found in warm woods paired with deep color palettes and traditional elements in modernized applications.

Origin & Influence
Working within a historic space brought about the need for thoughtful changes over brazen overhauls. Maintaining all natural stone walls, aged windows, and beautifully worn wood floor worked in favor of the design as light balanced the weight of dark paint, low lighting, and sturdy bur ornate millwork.
Converting a residential floor plan created in the 1800s to a bar space fit for public use meant leaning into the valuing of intimate spaces over a packed crowd. A patron's experience would be enhanced through quality as each available surface was thoughtfully curated to highlight craftsmanship. Achieving this feel was the goal as even the restroom was draped in rich materials that likened back to historic pubs, with a nod to home through a natural limestone floor.

02 Restaurant
Ideation
Bridging the gap between elevated bar and family meals, the restaurant hoped to be a welcoming respite to all who entered. Textures, materials, and colors called upon hill country roots while playful application lends itself to a more contemporary feel.

Collaboration & Execution
The design was an exercise in teamwork as limited space created a need for efficient use of every square foot. Partnership with Architect, client, and consultants lead to the coupling of practicality and beauty.
Custom hot rolled steel bar shelving started as part of simple sketches exploring design direction, and resulted in the focal point of the space.

Softening the cold industrial space through warm materials and grounding elements allowed for an intimate feel in an open space.
The client hoped to incorporate a space to showcase local artists and an opportunity for future booths, both of which were achieved via a wood wall in an inset seating area.

03 Elevated Diner
Small Changes & Big Impact
A restaurant with a defined brand offered up the challenge of a refresh with a limited budget. The design was born of maximizing visual impact while minimizing physical change in the space.
Existing features are to be repurposed through simple paint changes and the addition of wood veneer. The current brand palette is upgraded from flashy to more sophisticated and bold versions of existing colorways. The restaurant's nod to old diners is continued into the new design through shiny metals, simple shapes, and a mid-century influence. A collected feel is achieved through filling expansive walls with framed albums to showcase the owner's passion for music.
Through the repurposing of existing features, a lean into bold color palettes, and simple swaps,
the future renovation will be a testament to the power of reviving what you already have.
